Biography
Joshua Fine earned his Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of California, Los Angeles and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He began his career with the Los Angeles office of Klinedinst, P.C., where he had a diverse litigation as well as transactional practice. As a litigator, Joshua's practice focused primarily on real estate brokerage house defense and complex business litigation, but included director & officer liability defense, professional liability defense and more. After leaving Klinedinst and litigation in 2006, Joshua co-founded SFW Holdings, Inc., a real estate holding company specializing in acquisitions and development in Costa Rica. While steering SFW through its early stages, Joshua's private practice began organically, and eventually grew to take up the majority of his time. Today, Joshua's practice focuses primarily on all manner of entertainment and real estate transactions, including production legal and distressed/complex real property transactions. However, Joshua also serves as general counsel to numerous start-up and early-stage companies, and counsels corporate and individual clients in a wide array of areas, including: formation, financing, non-public securities issuances, debt and equity agreements, the purchase and sale of businesses and/or their assets, sponsorship, proprietary trade-secret enforcement, strategic expansion, employment contracts, intellectual property applications and enforcement and more. While in law school, Joshua worked for the Universal Music Group and as an extern for the Honorable Harry Pregerson of the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Prior to entering the bar, Joshua served in the United States Marine Corps and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
